With a well matched ballot, Mrs. Karla Davila has been elected to represent Travis Middle School as Teacher of the Year for 2023. Her genuine care for all students and her contagious smile bring a lot of heart to her teaching, but her strength is her passion for the classroom.
"If students can relate to and connect to the lesson, they will build a strong connection, better understanding, and comprehend the lesson better," Davila states. "When students make real-world connections, they can cultivate a genuine interest in learning and become problem solvers . . . My utmost desire is that every single student is self-driven and motivated to learn."
Travis Middle School is proud to have Mrs. Davila represent them as the campus Teacher of the Year.
